Frances has been a qualified Chartered Accountant for over ten years and assists a portfolio of accounts and tax clients within the Bicester office.

She studied her BSc in Mathematics and Economics at the University of Warwick and then trained in accounts, audit and tax at a firm of Chartered Accountants in Salisbury, where she grew up, before relocating to Oxfordshire in 2017.

Key experience

  • Assisting individual, partnership and small company clients with all aspects of their UK accountancy and taxation reporting requirements.
  • Reviewing VAT returns, assisting clients with VAT queries and partial exemption.
  • Assisting with UK tax compliance for non-resident individuals.
  • Dealing with HMRC enquiries and ad hoc technical queries for non-routine transactions.
  • Providing support for clients with day-to-day bookkeeping queries. Frances has Xero and Quickbooks certifications and is very familiar with Sage and other software.
  • Frances has a wide variety of experience with other assurance engagements such as Charity Independent Examinations and Solicitors Regulatory Authority reviews and enjoys supporting a wide range of different entities.
  • Within the Bicester office, Frances is also our internal training manager for ACA and ACCA trainees and apprentices and enjoys helping colleagues as well as clients.

Interests

Frances likes to travel when possible and has enjoyed several hiking holidays including trips to Everest Base Camp and the Tour du Mont Blanc. At home she enjoys music, reading and walking.
